Mzansi Rail Technologies (Pty) Ltd is a 100% owned entity registered in the Republic of South Africa. The founders and initiators of Mzansi Rail Technologies (MRT) have more than 25 years of freight logistics business experience and knowledge. MRTs founders are also the developers of the proposed Tshwane Intermodal Freight Terminal and Logistics Hub (inland Port) on a design, develop, construct, own and operate basis.
The planned development will focus on an intermodal freight terminal plan, with rail and road facilities. The terminal will consist of a rail siding, container stacking yard, warehouses, distribution centres, light industrial sites, Commercial offices, weighbridges, truck parking, container repair yard and a container yard (depot), customs bonded, gate operations and high-security perimeter fence with 24/7 CCTV.
It is planned that the proposed development would interface with the Transnet Freight Rail Pyramid South infrastructure, the National Highways (N1, N4 and R101) and will have a direct link with the Rosslyn Industrial Zone and Tshwane Automotive Special Economic Zone. Transnet Freight Rail will operate long-haul trains between the Terminal and the various Ports.
